What song, if any, have you and your partner said "that's our song" to? It can be more than just one.

Post 9 by SensuallyNaturallyLiving4Today (LivingLifeAndLovingItToo) on Wednesday, 28-Feb-2007 8:08:39

Hmmm. Don't have one yet, but if I had to pick a song to charictorize our relationship? Either Crash and Burn, by Savage Gardin, to describe our relationship of give and take, of support, or Accidentally In Love, to describe our coming together. Or, perhaps I want You To Want Me. to describe how I feel about him.

Another one is "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. I have an incredible live version that is performed the way Pete wanted to do it on the "So" album...it's awesome! But, anyway, I only mention that because the words are so incredible...

"accepting all I've done and said, I want to stand and stare again, till there's nothing left out, oh, it remains there in your eyes, whatever comes and goes, I will hear your silent call, and I will touch this tender wall, till I know I'm home again, oh..."

Awww but the slow version is so so so pretty.

Post 33 by Austin's Angel (move over school!) on Wednesday, 06-Jun-2007 10:29:02

i like both versions, but savage garden is awsome

Post 34 by maroon five (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 06-Jun-2007 19:27:03

I must admit, that yes, Savage Garden's truly madly deeply is very romantic, and I like Daniel Bedingfield as well.

Post 35 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 06-Jun-2007 19:51:25

I didn't know Cascada did a version of that song, but I love the Savage Garden version. Chasing Cars is awesome, if somewhat overplayed, and Daniel Bedingfield is hideous. "All for You" by Sister Hazel was my song with my most recent ex, along with "Slide" by the Goo Goo Dolls and a couple other kinda oldish songs like that.

When You Say Nothing At All by Alison Kraus

Post 39 by SensuallyNaturallyLiving4Today (LivingLifeAndLovingItToo) on Thursday, 21-Jun-2007 21:20:05

The album was Affirmation, not Crash and Burn, that was just one of the tracks, but, yeah, it's all good as they say. I absolutely adore "When you say you love me" however I had a rather off-putting experience with that particular song and now will have to leave it be, or even drop it from my potential list of romantic, my partner and I, songs because of that, but I agree, it is beautiful. I didn't post it before because the relationship to which I refered in that earlier post didn't fit with that song, but I long for the relationship that will. Oh, and gotta go with Damia on this one, Savage Gardin all the way.

Post 40 by maroon five (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 21-Jun-2007 21:55:24

okay, this has nothing to do with it, but I actually have met savage garden in person. anyway, back to the topic. I agree that truly madly deeply is very romantic. "I'll be your wish, I'll be your dream, I'll be your fantacy", now, tell me that's not romantic!

Post 41 by jessmonsilva (Taking over the boards, one topic at a time.) on Thursday, 21-Jun-2007 22:33:53

god must have spent a little more time on you. But for some reason I like the alabama version a bit more than the NSYNC version.

"As Long As Your Mine," from Wicked, "All I Ask Of You," from Phantom of the Opera. I'll come back with more when I can think of.

It’s not a romantic song, but it sure fit us…

Bonnie Raitt’s “Something To Talk About.”

Other people seemed to know we were more than just friends before we did. We played it three times at our wedding reception.

truely madly deeply Caskata, our song taylor swift,, tim Mcgraw Taylor swift, when you say nothing at all Allison Krauss, Nothing about love makes since leann rimes. I'm sure there's more, but that's all for now.

Post 50 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 23-Mar-2008 1:56:09

With my very first boyfriend, it was "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. With my second, it was "You are the Love of My Life," which is a duet between Michael W. Smith and Jim Brickman. Not sure I had a song with my most recent ex. Now, with Eddie, we've got a couple songs, but most notable is True Companion, by Mark Cohn.

Post 52 by Damia (I'm oppinionated deal with it.) on Thursday, 08-May-2008 16:06:13

well things have actually changed... with one x it was 98 degrees I do... wo i was like 12 then... We had been friends for like 3 years before that though.
nother x was kci and joe joe all my life
with my x fiance it was michael peterson from here to eternity... now when I hear it i don't know whether to laugh or cry. I mean one line in the song... was "I'll give you everything one woman needs from a one woman man." That he was deffinatly not. lol.
There was actually a song that was shared with me by and fwb which is a very sweet song too. It was Steve Warner and Anita Cocrin What If I told you?
Mine and Scott's has changed though. We actually heard it while listening to the movie juno and it's kind of silly but it really stuck.
All I want is you Barry Louis Polisar
It has very corny lyrics and a swing country style sound. the first line alone is
"if I were a flower growin wild and free All i'd want is you to be my sweet hunny bee. And if I was a tree growing tall and green, all I want is you to shade me and be my leaves."
lol

I love that song, Candis. It is so random ut awesome. Let's see... "Say Goodnight and go," by Imogen Heap... not exactly romantic but great song... "Save Room for My Love," by John Legend, "Beautiful Surprise," "Complicated Mellody," and "Good Man," by India Arie r great songs too. Another one of our songs was, "Delicate," by Damion Ryce... Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Always And Forever by HeatWave, All My Life by Kc and JoJo, In The Still Of The Night by Boys 2 Men, These Three Words Stevie Wonder's version, Happily Ever After by Jodeci, Ready For Love by India Arie. There's this one that Common remade and it goes, "There are times, when you need someone. I will be by your side. There is a light, that shines. Special for you, and me." There's a bunch I'm sure I forgot, but this should do for now. Be back with more.

Let's see: Far Away, Savin' Me, and If Everyone Cared by Nickelback, and... and I know there's more but there's a lot of them. But my bf wrote a song for me too. He plays piano amazingly well and won't admit it, but absolutely refuses to sing. I guess I'll never know if he has a good singing voice or not. lol oh well.

Post 62 by Elenhiia (Feather'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr for president!) on Thursday, 09-Oct-2008 15:52:25

Oh and I also like "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." Such a good song. But the song I can't listen to anymore is called Satellite. Even though, technically, I guess the genre is techno or something, it's really pretty. And Anywhere by Evanescence reminds me of my ex, and so does My Immortal, though I still can enjoy those, I don't listen to them much.
